With new Videocon A30

Hello guys,
Since long, there was a plan to get a new Android with a little higher specs then my current Samsung Galaxy Pro. After having a look at lots of Indian(you know from where it comes :) phones out there, I finally decided to go for Videocon A30. Other contenders were Micromax Canvas 2 and Karbonn A9+. Many reasons to go for Videocon A30.

Lets just have a look at spec.

Proc : 1 GHz Dual Core Snapdragon (MSM 8255)
RAM : 512MB

Display : 800x480, 4 inch, 5 finger Capacitive touch
Battery : 1450/1500mAh
Others : GPS, Wifi, 3G(1 sim 3.5G and other 2G)
Apps : Mobile office, Google Play, and some other
Camera : 5MP autofocus (touch focus available), 1.3MP Front,
720P stuttring Video, clear D1(480p) video

Storage
Internal: 1GB for Apps, ~1.5GB internal SD Card
External: Optional 32GB microSD

Now,
Coming to the look and feel, to be very frank, this looks stunner. A fine brick with nothing popping out from any side (not even camera). Front is black and Back is white.

Body feeling is just like that of Samsung/MMX plastic.

Display is as crisp as it should be.

Sound is not so loud but ok ok. Supplied earphones are junker then China Made Rs.100 one.

Camera is good and touch focus works great.

Android is 4.0.4 stock OS with some bundled apps.

I am yet to try Temple Run, but it works well as shown in one of the video on youtube. I tries all Angry Birds and they run great.

Battery lasts for
2 days with around ~30min of calling and no 2G Data.
1.5 days with around ~30min of calling and with 2G Data.
24 hrs with around ~3-4 hours of calling with no 2G.
5-6 hrs while gaming is on... :)

My write up ends here (as my blog says, I am a lazy writer) so sorry for that.

You can ask me any question and I will happily answer it. Answer will not be short like the article :)

Enjoy the Android...
